Mission Statement (floating) 5/20/2025 – post # 0001

Last updated on May 24, 2025

This blog will cover and talk about geek culture and tech – and btw the definition of “geek culture” here is anything that includes obsession over comics, science, separately science & health, horror, sci-fi, Star Wars, Marvel, Star Trek, Warhammer 40,000, David Lynch, anime, and a little gaming. I say a little because there are a lot of other people out there right now who cover it way more in-depth than I will and my focus besides talking about the games themselves will be more about news in the industry. Once in a while I might talk wrestling.

There will also be a smattering of market research, analysis of any of the previous and any of the following, editing & proofreading, economics, and some subculture music. All of these things and more are part of my professional background and things that I’m interested in & like to talk about. And it might only be a little here on music because I address music more in another forum.

Other random topics may be included.

Disclaimer / warning / caveat / advice / things that I like and don’t like: If there are comments on any of these posts in the future I reserve the right to delete any that are racist, personal attacks (on anyone), harassment, threats, calls to violence, spam, adult content, off-topic posts, repetitive botlinks, misinformation (conspiracies, fake health advice), copyrighted material or pirated links. Also, I will delete anything I choose to without giving any reason. This is a site owned by a single, private entity and I will decide and be the arbiter of what might turn things into a mess. And I’ve learned my lesson from Jerry Seinfeld and I will generally not talk about politics and religion plus I’ll add not talking about money, which seems to be the popular third option.

This post may have an addendum in the future but more likely there will be a revised mission statement in a new post.

If you think you don’t nerd-out as much as some people do, check out the posts here. You might be more geek than you think. And geek = cool.
